Ciao! I’m Giunio De Luca, a passionate software engineer with over 10 years of experience spanning research, sports, and energy sectors. Author of FastAPI Cookbook (Packt Publisher) and active speaker at major European conferences including PyCon Portugal 2025 and PyCon Poland 2025.

My Journey

My professional path has taken me across diverse industries, from groundbreaking research at France’s CNRS laboratories to developing innovative solutions for major European organizations. Starting as a researcher in computational fluid dynamics and combustion simulation, I transitioned into software engineering, working with prestigious organizations including the Royal Belgian Football Association, energy companies like ENGIE SA and Coreso, and data-driven startups. This unique blend of academic rigor and industry experience has shaped my approach to building robust, scalable software solutions.

Along the way, I’ve authored the FastAPI Cookbook, contributed to award-winning digital strategies for one of my customers, and discovered my passion for teaching and mentoring developers. Today, I combine hands-on development with knowledge sharing, speaking at European conferences and coaching the next generation of programmers.
